OHIO FAMILY CARE ASSOCIATION
Conference Information
We are excited to announce that OFCA will be holding THREE conferences throughout Ohio in 2024! These one day trainings will be similar to our previous conferences but will now allow us to reach even more caregivers and create further connections throughout the state.
We will kick off the 2024 conference tour in Columbus June 29th, then follow up with Cincinnati on September 28th. We will round out with Cleveland in March of 2025.

Columbus Regional Conference: June 29th
Keynote: Lawrence Funderburke
Join us for a transformative one-day conference dedicated to the pivotal theme of "Strengthening Families: Bridging Gaps in Policies and Practices." Delve into the heart of Ohio’s child welfare system- the policies, practices and families. Through engaging discussions, insightful panels, and interactive workshops, explore innovative strategies to bridge existing gaps in policies and practices, empowering families to thrive in an ever-evolving world. We are thrilled to have Lawrence Funderburke as our keynote speaker to kick off the day. A former NBA player who grew up in Central Ohio, Mr. Funderburke now uses his upbringing and life experiences to speak to and empower others. He has written multiple books and, along with his wife, runs the Funderburke Institute of Financial Empowerment and their nonprofit, the Lawrence Funderburke Youth Organization. If you're a primary parent, kinship caregiver, foster caregiver, adoptive parent, policymaker, advocate, or child welfare professional, this conference offers a unique platform to collaborate, exchange ideas, and ignite meaningful change in the landscape of family support. Take advantage of this opportunity to hear from families themselves and make a difference in Ohio’s child welfare system.
***NOTE: If approved to be sponsored by your licensing agency, OFCA will invoice the agency after the event.
