Ohio Family and Children First Crisis Funding Stakeholder Meeting

  • Key Topics:  A provision of the SFY 2018-2019 State Biennium Budget required the creation of a Family and Youth in Crisis funding appropriation of $5M of TANF Block Grant funding from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services budget in each fiscal year shall be utilized to provide services to youth with complex care needs whose parents or legal guardian is at risk of relinquishing custody of the youth to access needed services .

Foster Care Advisory Workgroup

  • Key Topics:  The Foster Care Advisory Group was established per Section 741.10 of the recently passed State operating budget (Am. Sub. H.B. No.49). The purpose of the Foster Care Advisory Group is to advise and assist the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services in identifying and implementing best practices to recruit, retain and support foster caregivers.
